When I send a voice text and dont check it before I press send.
When I accidentally trip and then look around and try to act like I meant it.

Do you need to have the same sense of humor as your partner?

I dont think I could be with someone who I couldnt make laugh or they couldnt make me laugh.

Agreed - A sense of humor is one of the top five qualities that my future partner must possess. A man who does not take himself too seriously, can make me laugh and laughs easily himself is very attractive to me. Life is too short to be with someone who is too serious. As for having the same type of sense of humor - I think it helps. For example, I'm not a big fan of dirty jokes or jokes that target people from other walks of life. That would be a turn-off for me, but maybe not for someone else.

I like Rodney Dangerfield, especially in the movie Caddyshack:

"T think this place is restricted, Wang, so don't tell 'em you're Jewish, OK?" Rodney was half-Jewish, half-Japanese. He even said, in his stand-up routine, that he was circumcised at Bennihannas!

In an age of ultra-political correctness, his particular brand of equal opportunity offending was, and is, refreshing.

I so agree. A sense of humor is the conduit into not taking life too seriously, and not taking OURSELVES too seriously. Provides the needed "slack", "breathing room", to enjoy life.

Daniel Tosh is hilarious. I also enjoy Larry the Cable Guy and his take on Walmart. Talk about tears streaming down my face.
I love stupid humor.
The "Worlds Dumbest....." shows also crack me up.

My fianc is hilarious. It's one of the many things I love about him!

My wife and I share humor on a number of different levels. We share similar tastes in movies. But I tend to favor wittier one liners that carry double meanings than straight forward jokes. I enjoy subtext in books and film. I like movies that know how to wink at you. And yes, that certainly helps in our relationship. The more you have in common, I think the more you share when you lean on each other.

The word "dumbest" brought to my mind the movie "Dumb and Dumber", with Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels. The scene where the cop drinks Jim Carrey's piss ("Tic Tac, sir?") is just hilarious.
