What makes someone right for me is lifestyle and personality. What 5 things I expect to see in our relationship to make it right for me is: communication (and that includes listening and understanding), respect, support, trust and most importantly, a great sense of humor! There is nothing quite like having someone to be able to make you laugh/smile through times of adversity!

How about common value systems, common beliefs, and common goals? A sense of humor is great, but if you can't agree on anything because you don't have similar values, beliefs or goals, I don't think it will hold a relationship together. Neither will great sex.

I ask myself:
Do I see myself with him in ten years?
If there is no good communication, respect, trust or I don't feel good, comfortable with the guy, if he has an habit that I find annoying, or has flaws of character I can't work with or accept, the answer is obviously no.

If it's yes, I then ask myself:
Would he be a good father?
I mean, is he loving and caring? present or absent? does he like kids? How do he act when around kid? Is he able to show authority? Overall, would he be a good father...
This is important for me because though I knew my father, He wasn't there as a father... he was the guy who brought money in, that's it... I don't want that for my future children... And I want childrens, so a guy who has no likings for children is not the kind I'd like...

Those two questions (Do I see myself with him in ten years and would he be a good father) are the questions I ask myself to know if the guy is the good one...

Warmth and lust in the same person (who finds me sexy too).
