BTW, I "asked" my husband for a divorce. I tried to get him to see that it was the best thing for us. I thought that I could get him to understand how we'd both be better off. That was so dumb of me. Of course he didn't want his easy life dismantled. He put in no effort and got so much in return. It was a colossal waste of my time and energies. In the end, he did his best to thwart the divorce, but .with persistence, I prevailed.
I do keep forgetting , as long as we continue to do for them, why would they possibly want anything to change? Over the past few days, I have grown even more annoyed each time he pushes the envelope....asking (and expecting ) me to go above and beyond to do what he is perfectly capable of doing for himself....just too damn lazy. (I am finally more aware and stepping back.) yeah, I know...too late now.
