Unless they have children together there is really no reason for her to contact him, IMO. I can see if he wanted to be a " good Christian" and help someone in desperate need, but she is just using him for entertainment/therapy.
He ain't Jesus, so not his job to support her. Tell him to pray for her. Moral Obligation met.
Your husband is not her personal Jesus. He is a mortal man, weak in the flesh, and prone to temptation. Tell him to pray for her, invite her to his church, seek the pastor for counsel, but tell him DO NOT begin a close, personal "friendship" with her!
Perhaps he enjoys her friendship and doesn't want to tell you because of your reaction.
If she bugged him that much, he would've told her to bounce a while ago.
I'd be reminding him how Jesus ended up.
OK..so there's no commandment to honor your wife.
But..don't you think he should?
There's a difference between friends and exes.
( exes twice over, in fact).
I gave a point of view to the OP...as did you.
Are we to debate those now?
Pass.
:-)
The same ex sent a text to my husband while we were engaged and while she was dating his friend asking him if she could come over to his place alone to spend some time with him. This was last year.
He forwarded her text to me. I asked him if he had replied to her. He said no. We had an agreement at that time... No spending time alone with an opposite sex person.
So I sent her a text letting her know that she could bring her boyfriend over with her to visit with my fiance, but that she could not visit my fiance alone.
She did not understand why she could not visit my fiance alone. She kept on insisting that she wanted to spend time alone with him. It took my saying NO to her several times for her to back off.
