Also it seems you have emotionally cheated on him based on your other post so I’d take God out of the equation and just chalk this up to a relationship that may not be right for either one of you.
My issue with prayer is that we seeking an outside source for an answer, but usually we do that because we know the in answer and it isn’t what we want to hear... so we hold on to hope that god will provide a different answer... I wish for those 35 years I would have paid attention to what’s in front of me verses asking for a different answer that was never going to come.
People are who they are, we can’t change them...can you accept them as they are? Or are you always going to be disappointed? Good questions to ask ourselves when in any relationship.
As he's Christian, I suggest AA for him, Alanon for you.
(((Just be aware that AA isn't a magic pill. Their sucess rate is about 5%. But those that they are able to get through to...tend to do well.
Alanon seems to do much better. It helps you leave his recovery up to him and his higher power, while you look at your own stuff.)))
