In an attempt to reconnect with a sibling, I offered to continue 'nomarlizing' our interaction, but explained that I was unwilling to discuss my personal recovery work.
Does this position come across as passive/aggressive?
My justification is that this sibling is not fully trustworthy, and very unknown to herself. Exposing vulnerability for the purposes for reconnection seems counter productive .... there must be more assessment and trust first.
Curious to have some feedback.

I got grief going on, on top my depression and anxiety and now I got to worry about somewhere to live since I can't afford living here since my mom passed. So many bad things have happened since my mom passed. One thing after another it seems. Yesterday our fence fell from a storm that hit, had to call someone to prop it up. Thank...
I do though suspect how you explain your position or stance can determine how it’s perceived by your sibling. I mean if you sound harsh when delivering it that may not go over.
Without context, I guess I’m not sure why you have explain it at all and instead you both can just apologize things in the past and agree to move forward. I get nothing may be quite that easy but I also don’t think things ever need to be as hard as we make them either. All relationships require some level of vulnerability. It’s just threading that needle between sharing and protecting yourself if hurt previously.
She may just be trying to show you that she cares by asking....
You can always answer her with a short sentence...."I'm doing well thanx' and change the subject if you wanted to
