My ex and I have been spending time together and I am hoping that we get back together. I broke up with him 6 months ago but it was a huge mistake. Now he is skeptical to take me back because he is afraid I will hurt him again. I don't blame him for feeling that way. So now he wants to take a three week break from each other. No communicating at all until Valentine's Day. I'm hurting. I don't know what this means. I'm scared that if we don't spend time together he will get over me.
If you broke his heart he may really be trying to decide if he can take that chance again.
Give him the space and let him know that you really do think you made a big mistake and really want him back.
That's my 2 cents.
I also wouldnt sweat it too much. It is only a few weeks, and if it may be beneficial to you getting back together, it will very well be worth it :)
Be patient with him. He may figure out whatever he needs before the end of the two and half weeks.
