A few months ago, by boyfriend got into a crazy fight about a girl he knows that was getting way too flirtty with him. (The two of them had a little fling before we met that didn't last long, but I wonder just how they still about each other.) She would get all touchy-feely at their sporting events, and then started sending texts that women just shouldn't send man in commited relationships, and his responses were not so appropriate, either. The worst part of this was that he waited weeks to tell me - in fact, I found about it mostly on my own and had to drag an explination out of him. He said he didn't want to tell about it because he was afraid of how I'd react. I felt really hurt, because I believe that a relationship has to based on trust. I've always respected him enough to be nothing but hinest with him.
Well, he promised to talk to the gilr and put an end to their inapropriate texting. We moved along slowly, and eventually I built my trust back up, although from time to time, if he was late I'd wonder just what he was up to. Every thing was going well until last night...
Last night his cell phone rang, and I asked what was up, because we were expecting a text from a mutual friend. He said, nothing just a joke from *dan on my hockey team. He showed me: it was a messege from Dan, but from last week! I scrolled up to the most recent one, and can you guys who it was? The flirty girl from over the summer!
Now, I'm over this girl. I've never liked her, and I don't feel like she's worth me wasting my breath over. But my boyfriend of two years looked me right in the eye told me bald-faced lie! Why?! I'm so mad and hurt. Not only do I feel like he's insulted me by lying, but he's shattered my trust. I know, it was a small lie, but to do it so casually... How can know when he's telling the truth if lying comes so easily?
Am I blowing things out of proportion? Has anything like this ever happened to you? I need to know if it's some thing I'll ever get over, because right now things are looking bleak...

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
the *oh, your hair looks nice* one...well, that's just being polite...sigh!
how many other lies have been told, is what id be asking?
trust, at this point would surly be at high risk in my book & no i dont think you are over reacting/blowing things out of proportion & have every right to ask questions & deserve the truth, not lies.
there are other under lying issues going on for this to be taking place.
get the number blocked on his cell, option? or would that lead to more ways of him/them
seeking other venues of communications?
idk....but my trust would be wrecked at this point.

Right now, my main focus is this lie he got caught up in. I've slept on the couch the last two night, and every time he comes in for a kiss or some thing, I pull away. I'm so mad, I don't want to be any where near him!
On the one hand, leaving seems like my only option. But on the other, we just moved in together 5 months ago in a city that's pretty new to me, I don't know that I'm willing to throw away the thousands of dollars I've invested into this place. Not to mention that (short of burdening my friends) I've got no where to go out here. Is that lame excuse? Is that enough of a reason to try and make it work? I'm considering couples counceling, but he's not at all keen on the idea,,,
If it were me I value my time and I would like to feel secure and know that I can trust and count on my partners word. If that is not happening then I know for myself that person is not the right one for me and I make my plans to get out of that relationship. I do not wish to invest my time in someone that feels it is necessary to lie or break their word because I know I would not treat someone else that way that I cared about.
Anyway I hope that whatever you decide to do it will bring you happiness in the long run. Wishing you the very best.:)
