I'm beating women to the punch--I shave my back and front regularly and would LOVE it if a woman I know bought me a free wax! I hate the scratchy Sasquatch stuff. It makes me feel like an old mountaineer or Viking. I like my smooth skin with no hair. Makes me feel like a teenager.

It's tricky, some of the places are hard to reach (as long as I get the really long hairs--got one that grows out of my right...what is the word...scapula? like a giant weed), just with a regular face-shaving hand-razor. Obviously the front's easier LOL.

i personally, wouldnt date someone that was overly hairy...i've done that before, and it was an extreme turnoff

My ex was very hairy. Like a gorilla. It was gross, especially when he showered and then went straight to bed.

Once, I shaved half of his back in the middle of the night and then left for class in the morning while he was sleeping. I guess he noticed I did it and had to shave the rest to make it even- but he never said anything about it.

I dated a guy for five years that was half Jewish and half Italian, and he was a hairy little mofo! It doesn't bother me-it's like extra weight, if I love him unconditionally neither one matters to me. Plus, I liked to run my fingers through it. :-D

My guy has a bit of hair on his back, its not ALOT of hair but its fuzzy. It doesnt bother me, honestly i get over all physical "flaws" after i really get to know the inside heart of someone.
I would never talk to a guy about WAXING it cause that kills, i cannot personally wax anything and i dont know any man that really considers that as a possibility. Shave it maybe, but then you get stubble quicker. Its easier to just leave nature alone and get used to it.

I like a hairy chest on a man. I like how diferent it is from mine. Love being pulled against it. hairy backs? Well, I could do without them, but ultimately there are other things I am a lot more intrested in.

I think that a man's personal hygiene is his business(as long as he is clean), and it would be extremely rude of me to ask him to wax or anything else beyond the basics. My BF has a beard, and, even though it is not my favorite look for a guy, I would never ask him to make the decision to remove just because I do not prefer it. Just like I would not expect him to tell me how to fix my hair.

Here's a better suggestion. You can buy the One Touch electrolysis do it yourself thing from amazon for like 30 bucks and eliminate that crap for good. It does take a lot of patience and dedication but I've been using it on my legs and the hairs I've zapped have never come back. It's the only FDA approved permanent hair removal solution. Once you get the routine down (and take a pain killer) it doesn't even hurt.

Also there's epilating, if you're into torture. I have a cheap one of those (basically electric tweezers that pull several hairs at once). Load up on the painkillers for this one. But you will be smooth for a long time.

For last year's body-building competition I shaved my entire body. Hubby complained BITTERLY because he hated the stubble - and it made me feel like a porcupine. I'm a fairly furry guy, it could take up to two hours to shave it all, including having him do my back.

Two weeks before the contest, at my trainer's suggestion, I had my entire body waxed. Sure, it made me smooth, but it was the most wretched three hours I have ever lived through. Waxing the arms, the legs, that I could deal with. Waxing my back and those "sensitive areas" - fine, more or less, it was bearable. But the worst pain was when he started ripping the hair off my chest and belly. It wasn't just the initial hurt of masses of hair being pulled out by the roots (like on the rest of my body), there was also an exquisite blossom of burn flowering after the hair came out. Steve Carell did NOT over-act that scene in 40 Year Old Virgin.

My take on waxing: if a guy does it for you, then he is either a masochist or he's REALLY in love.

Personally, I LIKE my body hair, I never understood the fascination with smooth. My spouse is particularly fond of my fur. Which is a good thing because the older I get, the hairier I become. Except, of course, for my scalp, which I've totally given up on and shave completely. Plus, you can't see the gray.

i dated a guy once that had a hairy back and it was a turn off because it was all over my bed and me the 1st time we had been intimate... it was a lot of hair and i showed my roommate after that the relationship ended. i was actually disgusted by it. so i have this rule i shave, you shave. you dont shave, i dont shave. sorry to sound shallow i can deal with a lot but hair gets me.. ive never been able to get past that.

I think that is kind of rude. Men have hair, get over it. If she didn't accept it, that would make me think she was shallow.
