Yeah I feel the same way about how girls who are 24+ will likely be turned off by a guy who has not yet started his career. Yet at the same time, I feel like the younger college girls are socialized to believe that they shouldn't date someone more than 3 years older than them and that if an older guy is interested in them, he is creepy.
Of course, if you have the looks, girls will often overlook the age thing, so why not just date the girls you will meet in college?
Thank you for your comments. Yeah, it kinda sucks that we're in this situaton. But we are trying to better ourselves and that's important. I will try to approach women and see what happens.
You look very handsome in your photo! From your post it also seems to me you are a good person who is trying to succeed in your life. I've read women are turned on by the drive of a guy.
For me, it's knowing the end result, how you want to FEEL (powerful, warm, loved, virile, etc.). Knowing that, you'll find the words to get there. Sometimes it's not about blah blah blah talking constantly, it's saying THE RIGHT words, the words you feel she wants to hear. And it's about listening as well as talking. Be a good listener. Really be into HER, not in a creepy way, but a way that shows you truly care.
Money tends to follow if you enjoy what you do, and you enjoy talking about that which you're doing. Focus on ENJOYING a particular field of study. If you enjoy it, you'll be passionate about it, will be passionate in talking about it, and passion is magnetic.
I enjoy cameras, filmmaking, watching and critiquing movies and photography. There's an emotional, spiritual component in it that, beyond the technology (I enjoy the technology too), I find very fulfilling.
Just be prepared to be even more insecure, and confused, after you read his stuff. OK, maybe you SHOULDN'T be talking with him...
Seriously, though, both you guys are in your early 20s, in a very plastic, superficial time, surrounded by equally plastic, superficial women. I myself remember being fairly selfish at that age, and found women of that age equally selfish. Early 20s are the time when people are just out of high school and exploring their newfound frontiers of independence, testing their boundaries, etc. It's, rightfully, a very selfish "me" time, full of selfish, hedonistic self-gratification. I hate to say it, but it will probably take 'til you all, guys and girls, in your 20s, reach 30 to achieve a bit more depth, pain of life's experience, know what you want, etc. If you can hang in there, I think you'll find that depth, and strength, within yourself, and a woman, by the age of 30. "Me" time will become "we" time.
There are exceptions to this rule, of course...there are people in their early 20s who perhaps had a painful childhood and are, thus, already very mature in their early 20s. And there are people who are in their 80s who are still selfish, spoiled children.
Choose wisely, my son. Look at the heart as well as the body, and BE what you seek. Go for a nice, soft, quiet girl. She will match your obviously nice, soft, quiet personality. Do NOT go for the loud, obnoxious party whore. She will cause you nothing but heartache.
Koolman, thank you very much for your lengthy posts and advice. I will go for the nice, soft girl which is more suited to my personality. I do have a plan and 27 isn't late.
Its just that I want to get married before 29! And I don't want to leave things till late.
