I finally made peace with my past. There we were both United and undivided, the veil was torn and we saw each other for what it's worth, the best years of our lives... I'm so glad we gave each other the chance to meet and the opportunity to reconcile once again as friends. I missed his kind friendship that made me feel like home. Ahh, teary eyed but out of gratitude.

Ah I love this! So proud of you for making peace over the past and moving forward. Was meeting him what helped you move on?

That’s great! My experience is that I’ve made peace with my past about a hundred times lol. It’s been a process that I feel is coming along nicely. The biggest challenge is the shake up of my self esteem and feelings of shame/guilt. This is what I work on by trying to live a good life. Not that I did anything wrong. Just from knowing what maturity is now compared to past relationship/entanglements.

Acceptance of the past and all the things that bother us really helps our mental health. It took me a long time but I now know I need both self-compassion and to put my own emotional wellness first. Boundaries, too. I never had internal boundaries before.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
