Healthy Relationships Support Group
No relationship is perfect. A long-term relationship requires constant effort to understand each other, fix misunderstandings, solve problems and continue to grow as both individuals change and evolve. How we deal with our misunderstandings is the focus of this community. Join us to find support, get advice, and share your experience with your relationship.
If your friend is not willing to hear you out and only wants you to listen to her stories then she can probably find a therapist who will sit there and be impartial.
Friends are there for better or for worse, but enabling is not the right thing to do in my book..
Living " alternative " lifestyle is not that easy. The relationship has to be rock solid and based on complete mutual trust and people follow established rules and boundaries. Sounds like they are unable to stick to the rules and their relationship will be heading for failure.
I would certainly distance myself from all that.
Perhaps tell your friend that you really don't approve and that you would rather not hear about it anymore.
Either way, I'd tell them all to take care of their own kids and call you when theyve got their sh*t straightend out. You have your own life and problems to live for.
