The last few years of my married life were like constantly walking on egg shells. I never knew what could trigger a tirade from my ex.
I am so very very sorry this is happening to you. I really hope and pray that you can both work through it all and find a way back to happiness together. My prayers are with you.
I'll start with my parents. They've been fighting for as long as I can remember. My dad is a control freak. They stopped fighting as often (used to be a weekly) but they still fight. I think he's kinda afraid of me and my brother so he doesn't want to anger us. So in this case, I'd say it only stopped because he's afraid, otherwise it would still happen a lot.
My situation. My first LTR had us fighting almost daily. Both of us hated fighting but it became part of our relationship. We split up but we are REALLY good friends now. We were both better off apart because our relationship turned us into people we're not.
The second LTR I had also consisted of fighting 3-4 times a week. It was my fault because I cared too much and I wanted to protect her from things I had no control over (before I met her). It stemmed from the issues with my parents. That never fixed itself. We always fought no matter what. It's good we ended too, we were not right for each other either.
The point is, if you're in a relationship where there's fighting, it will ALWAYS be there. You can't fix that (at least not in my experience). I'm asexual now so I don't date anyone but I know that in normal healthy relationships people don't argue that often.
Wish you the best!

Sounds like you are trying to work through it. Best of luck!
Good luck my friend!!!
ive fight with them daily and weekly which is not healthy for a child it was like that as a kid growing up. my bf and i would fight alot which i do hate, i do mostly start it but i expect perfectionism that u should do xyz. it does make me cry and feel bad when we fight im always the one screaming to the top of my lungs just like my idiot mom does on a daily basis.
i expect to be heard and listened too as no one has ever listened to me still dont today. for me, i know why i always blow up it stems from childhood. i only blow up like this towards guys not so much girls as i feel guys deserve it. im the type who wants to be right all the time all the time while im screaming my bf just sits there silently. :(
if he would do shit right all the time i wouldnt have to sit there and scream a lot, its his fault anyway. my bf was teaching how to communicate without screaming and actually just talk when theres an issue..
Not married, so no spouse to fight with at the moment, was involved with someone, gave up trying to change her into my clone (she's not), my parents gnatter away at each other and nit-pick each other's perceived "faults", which doesn't look very appealing to me. I get in occasional squabbles with family and friends, but there is a sense, in all of us, of the "common good", wanting to get back on track as far as keeping the good times a rolling.
