So, if you saw my last post mentioning that I've been seeing someone but not exclusive, but also had a guy friend that was interested, this is still them that I'm talking about.
I havent seen the guy I really like for over a week due to work conflicts, but I still go out with my friends when he's not around. Some of my girl friends were asking about him, about how we've been, etc. I do like him and I was excited to talk about him and show pictures he had sent me. My guy friend was out with us, but he was on other side of the room. Well, we all probably drank too much that night, and my friend kissed me. I let him, sure. I always have had a slight crush on him, I just know that's not in my best interest.
One of my friends that was around for that somewhat knows this guy I've been dating. She texted me the next morning saying she noticed that my friend and I hit it off and then just stopped talking to me. While we have been dating, we aren't boyfriend/girlfriend and haven't talked about being exclusive. Considering I am interested in dating him, I probably shouldn't have kissed my friend, but I don't think I was necessarily wrong in doing so. For all I know, this guy could also be seeing other girls.
I don't really WANT the guy to know about my friend, and if we do end up together, I'd go back to keeping my friend at arms length, but was what I did really WRONG? If you aren't exclusive and are still just kind of hanging out, are there rules in place there already?

But if it does progress and bloom into a relationship dont be surprised if he wants you to cut off your friendship with the guy you kissed....
By not being open and proactive, you are potentially creating complications for yourself.
You say for all you know the guy you're dating could be dating others. If he is seeing others there could be kissing involved. How do you feel about that?
I wouldn't disclose to him that you went out and kissed your friend, but it sounds like your texting friend who witnessed the encounter might spill the beans.
If you're pretty sure you want to be exclusive, why not bring the topic up to him? Then you will be sure of the "rules"!
