New to this group but I think it would help. I was emotionally involved with someone over time as just a friend who was a HS classmate. After I took a two week biz trip I met her in my hometown and told her how I felt about her. She responded in kind but no physical contact of any sort, thank goodness. Emotional roller coaster over two months and I wanted a divorce after 32 years. I started the process and my wife "lost it" . She went to intensive outpatient therapy and had a lot of emotional baggage from growing up in a broken home. She's doing really well now and I asked her back. She forgave me, thank God, but I'm having a difficult time forgiving myself. We are getting along really well now and communicating. We saw the movie Hope Springs and so much of it is what we went through. Not separate rooms though. I didn't know if I could get back the feelings I had for her when we first met but, so far so good. She's really helping me with forgiveness and I keep telling her how grateful I am she came back. More therapy for me needed, especially communication. That is so key. I sure didn't want to hurt anyone but, too late. Now I have to build up trust , of course. Long road ahead but, it's good to be together. I don't want to get back into a rut ever again. I needed to give my wife a 2nd chance. I'm just glad she gave me one. Comments welcome.

Good for you for admitting where you went wrong, accepting accountability and staying honest. It is so hurtful what happened - emotional affairs can be just as damaging as physical ones to a marriage - but it sounds like you are on a firm footing. I would accept that guilt will be a natural reaction to what has happened, and allow it to serve as a reminder, but not let it paralyze you. It is a painful lesson to learn, but now you have a chance to start again with 20/20 vision.

spend lots of time together and go to counseling together. not necessarily relationship counseling but to help you through the hurt.

Congratulations for putting your marriage back together! If your wife has forgiven you, you need to forgive yourself as well. It sounds like you are doing everything you can to rebuild. Best wishes!

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
