Anyone else here has problems with family trying to decide your relationships, wether it is for religion reasons or not?
I know this sounds odd to almost everyone, but still today some families do want to chose when you should marry, with whom, why and etc..
In my culture and in my family history, women must get married and have children in their early 20's.. and I have my family pressuring me to do the same thing, specially since at almost 25 I remain single, never dated.. and they are like desperate to get me married to someone..
I personally don't want to get married, I don't want to date anyone, I am just so sick of this whole story, but sometimes I feel like marrying some random guy so they shut up..
Does anyone here know what can be done in this situation or knows any advice? I have tried to ignore them, but this goes since since I was 17.. I am the talk, the subject of conversation everytime the family gathers.. and all the time they try to come up with a potencial husband for me ..
I just want to know that there are more people out there who have been through this and feel that I am not alone. Most people say stuff like you're too young for marrying or just don't mind your family, but only people who have gone through this can really understand the pressure .. thanks :)

Of course, another problem is that I even find that most women in western culture when they get around 25 are looking to get married and start a family. So I'm mainly interested in dating younger girls, which is frowned on in western feminazi culture.
I have several nieces and two daughters in their early 20's. I envy them that they are living the life that I never had - being young, independent and on their own, dating, building their careers. None of them have marriage on their minds.
I am still very close to my family, I love them very much, they are my rock, but when it comes to religion, I have very firm boundaries, stick to them, don't get wishy washy, because I know what I want, and thankfully my family doesn't disown me over it. My parents my best friends. But yeah, a couple weeks ago, I got a call from the church missionaries, I didn't answer the phone, I blocked the number. And let it be. Prettyv sure my sister, gave them my (cell) number. Not many people have my cell number.
Having said that, I am not totally against arranged marriages, provided both parties can declinr. I have worked with a few people in arranged marriages, were again (as far as I can tell, botg parties were free to walk away), and it worked out really well, both very happy. But then, I thinka narriage is more likely to work, if there is similarities in socio-economic conditions, then simply having the hots for each other. The honeymoon stage, usually only lasting 6 months to a year.
