If there is a history of sex I personally would not like that very much.
But I'm not one-sided...the only guy I talk to that I used to sleep with is my ex-husband and that's because we have kids together and kind of have no choice but to maintain contact. I have male acquaintances (some which I did date) but my relationship means more to me and I don't speak to them as much as my female friends...not really much at all, actually. For me, it is a respect thing. Even though my guy doesn't care, I do. I just find it a little disrespectful to be friends with "ex's" while in a serious relationship but I know not everyone feels the way I do.
Honestly, it'll pretty much just depend on who you date. If it's extremely important to you that you remain friends with these women, you might have to tell those dates you feel might lead to something that you have very close female friends (be honest of the past with them) and tell them it's critical they are "okay" with it or you can't continue to date them. Or do what's comfortable with a future girlfriend. I can't figure there are any other options.
Don't let this get in the way of future dating though. Just be honest and if she doesn't like it, move on, someone out there won't mind.
If that is the case, then yes, it would impede my interest in dating, and send up a large red flag. In fact, the turbulence generated by you trying to convince me there's nothing to worry about, would flap and ripple that flag so hard, it would knock me off my bar stool.
Now, if they're not previously intimately related, then no. But it would be key to introduce your new date to them quickly, so that she can see for herself that they are of no threat.
Now, texting them, these female friends with no past intimate relations, on a regular, throughout the day basis, would concern me.
And for me, I would add that as long as they are all stable, and none of them have a secret desire to become intimately involved, and us girls have radar for that, so we can't be fooled, well at least not all of the time.
And, as long as you're not texting them private things about your relationship with this date that would cause them to look at her or treat her in a certain way when they all meet. Because someday, she could become your life partner.
I am female. All of my friends are male.
