Regarding what to do. You can try going with him to a relationship therapist and perhaps by doing so, he'll start to take communication with you seriously. If you want to do it yourself, you can try letting him know how important communication is to you and how you feel. But I have a strange feeling he'll respond with, "I don't know."
"Mr. Hand, will I pass this class? Gee, Mr. Spicoli...I don't know!"
My feeling is, if things are happy with you, there should be no reason to stray or nibble on extracurricular curiosities. But so many of us men are spatial creatures, visually driven, whereas you ladies are emotional and suck us inside you. We like the feeling of warmth, but, as men, are spatial explorers and conquerers, always looking for the next space. Or maybe our passion just runs dry every now and then, we're running on empty, or negative energy, and, in order to survive, something always looks better on the other side of the rainbow...
you don't have to let him do it. ask him a question and sit there until he gives you a straight answer. here's an important tip though. when you ask the question and do not receive an answer. do not start talking. sit and stare until he answers. if you say anything, just repeat the question. force him to respond.
you will have to be very consistent to break him.
