Age? another form of labeling people.......

is ur age really that big of an issue in a relationship? i don't get why people are so hung up on this ! its just a number ! and in my opinion - people limit themselves by saying i'm not gonna date u cause ur not the right age- what if the man/ woman of ur dreams is older/ younger than u ? should that really be the factor that ends it all ? just thought this would be something interesting to discuss with this board- i myself am practicing what i preach... i'm 24 and my boyfriend is 36 - we both get along great and in fact he is one of the younger men i've dated.. i'm not saying there should be 16 year olds dating men in their 60's - so no hate mail about that please- just saying- shouldn't we go for love and not = i love u if ur a certain age.... this is just another form of labeling to me... anyone have any thoughts on this- feel free to state ur opinions .....

don't totally disagree with you- but this is not always the circumstances- i know it wasn't with me- he was in the process of divorce and i backed off completely - we didn't talk for over a year or see each other... when it was finally over then we considered dating- also not all younger women are more "attractive" some of us- talking about me here- are fugly and boring..... and why do u have to be old to have ur heart broken and dreams shattered- my first love died , last bf was a total jerk and played mind games- so i'm 24 and my heart is broken and dreams shattered and i'm bitter- i'll admit it- but like i said - i don't totally disagree - cause i've seen it happen to people i know too- but as with anything in life- there are 2 sides to the story- as for the younger men with older women- can't answer that one....

I do not agree with the most men leave their wives of 20 years for a younger woman..at all.

My husband IS 20 years older than I. He was single when we met.

I think that if they "left their wives of 20 years" there was already problems in the marriage.

yep i'm with Melly- if they say thats why they are leaving- thats just an excuse for other issues they are having- when u love someone- u don't care about the age- u just care about the person.......

My BF is 25 years older than me. Age difference? What age difference. When I look at him I see a person, not an age. We get along great...a similar sense of humor, similar outlook on life, similar philosophies..etc. Plus, he can make me laugh on days when no one else can.
