Healthy Relationships Support Group
No relationship is perfect. A long-term relationship requires constant effort to understand each other, fix misunderstandings, solve problems and continue to grow as both individuals change and evolve. How we deal with our misunderstandings is the focus of this community. Join us to find support, get advice, and share your experience with your relationship.
Also something to consider when you are having the discussion is to allow yourselves some days to do your own thing and also have days where you both can spend time together and with your son. If you both can find a happy balance I think your whole family will benefit from it including you.
The only other thing I will say is when you do confront your bf remember it is not about what he is doing and what he should stop doing it is about changing the schedule a bit as if you tell him he can no longer do things he might rebel and nothing will be accomplished. Keep it simple and allow him to share his feelings as well because he might not be aware how much he is neglecting his son and you. Best wishes to you both:)
