I was listening to a discussion on the radio, in regards to dating. A study conducted looked at the first date and how long it takes to evaluate your date. Per the study a majority of one's evaluation is based on personality.
Per the study it takes a woman 90 seconds to make this determination whereas with a man it takes him 5 minutes.
As men I think we're looking at being open and most importantly allowing for the benefit of doubt. LOL
On a serious side I have an upcoming coffee date this weekend and the 90 second concept has me thinking, however I also realize that it's important to be your real self, and not someone you're not.

Hi -hi... OMG he must have poured on a gallon of old spice... Yuck I wanted to gag.
He gave me a red rose..(fake smile) thank you.. Put it in water.. We went out to eat..I picked a place no one would know me...boring meal. He talked about his job. His boring job. His job in the dairy department of the grocery store. He must have told me 4 times how they have to check the dates of the milk often...really? I didn't know that...
We went to a movie.. my blouse over my nose because his cologne was giving me a headache. He wanted to hold my hand.. Ugh..cologne on hand - I'd never get that smell out..
After movie..he wanted to go to a bar. I told him I didn't know any in the area. We went back to my house..he came in for a beer.. We sat at the kitchen table and I prayed my parents would get home fast...
They got home. He left... Next day at work - his sister asked how it went...I said - we saw a nice movie...
He called.
He called again.. And again..and again
Ughhhhhhhhhh. Blind date. NEVER AGAIN..
I could understand preferring to date someone you are attracted to, but you talk as if you were being tortured. This is what makes it so difficult with women. When they aren't into a guy, it's as if they don't want to be in his presence at all. This is probably why I barely see girls even just HANGING OUT with unattractive guys.
All I was saying is that I would never go on a blind date. I would want to get to know the person before dating.
Oh and last I heard, he was married and has a few kids, gee, thinking about it, they aren't kids anymore...where the hell did the years go?

Women just don't go by looks. They are interested in the total package. Health, strength, confidence, knowledge and attitude.
Hero, your biggest problem is confidence and attitude.
