1) Online dating...allows you to "meet" people in the comfort of your own home.
2) Join a bowling league or sports team in your local area (if you are a sports player)
3) Go to a bar...or lounge...pub...etc.
4) If you have children, join the local school's PTA
5) Church? If you are religious, you can go to church and it's functions
6) Counseling? Maybe talking to someone would help.
7) Try meditation...heard it helps!
I'm sure there are plenty more that others can suggest, but these are ways to get out of your slump, some would allow you to meet new people (whether for friends or in the relationship avenue, whatever you are ready/comfortable with.).
Hope this helps! :-)
It's always nice to meet that special someone, of course. You could try activities groups like meetup. Your alterior motive is to meet someone, but your main motive, in going to a meetup, is just to hang with like-minded people who share your same interest in an activity, which, when sex and amorous feelings fade, is what will keep you and your mate bonded anyway.
Don't get me wrong of course I would like a special person in my life and it will happen eventually ...but my life is very full and I am happy now.
TakingCharge has several good ideas.
Hope you are feeling better.

Meh - I'm female, 43 and single. Okay. Sometimes I get lonely. Sometimes I miss having someone in my life. But generally? I'm all good
Are you single without children?
Do you have opportunities to meet men other than your place of work if you work?
Do you have friendships where you can possibly meet someone they know?
I did on line dating SO many times! ugh! No more!!!
