Hand and limb abnormalities are varied and can range from partial duplication of a finger to a missing or deformed limb. One of the more common such abnormalities is clubfoot. I am a man with really small hands and feet.
It's embarrassing when I have to shake hands with men and women who have normal size hands.
Most people have hands about twice the size of mine, fingers nearly twice as long.
I can type and do other things just like anyone else, so it's only in appearance that I feel freakish.
Anyone else here like this?

You're not the only one that obsesses over his hands.
Many people have commented or even laughed at how small they are. It hurts.
There are some people that see it as funny, and don't view it as anything other then that... I mean would they laugh at a person born with one leg shorter then the other?
It's one thing that I'll have to deal with for the rest of my life.
Hopefully one day I'll get over the fact that people will treat me with less respect as a man because my hands are small.
-Buying gloves completely sucks, because the women's large fits better than the guy's small
-Buying shoes is sometimes impossible. Apparently boys stops at 6 and men's starts at 8 and sometimes even 9. I'm a 7.5.
-Using a drill driver is difficult because the grip is designed for a larger hand and my hand stops halfway down the grip--the battery pack is at the base of the grip, meaning the center of gravity is way off and my wrists tire out easily with this arrangement. Additionally, the forward/backward switch is too far forward for my thumb to reach so what should require one hand requires two.
-When shooting my pistol I find my wrists start to hurt because of the size of my hands, unless I adjust my grip such that my left index finger is over the trigger guard. It's a trick a police officer showed me while we were at the firing range together. If any of you shoot, you may consider this as a solution to kickback and wrist fatigue.
And I know what you mean about people laughing at small hands and feet. I can't believe how rude and obnoxious they are. I would never do that to someone. They don't seem to put themselves in the other person's place.
knew I was slightly different from other children but it never bugged me, but now that Im older I wish I could shake hands with other men without feeling childish. I feel outcasted. But what gives me hope is that the most brilliant minds and memorable people in history have been outcasts. Good luck to who ever reads this, know that you're not alone, and as hard as it seems right now, trust me I know how hard it is, it will get better. You only have one life, make the best of it. No one looks dumb when their smiling, so stay strong.
As far as hands go, I know the only thing I notice is if the handshake is flimsy. As long as they have a decent grip (not too tight!) I'm thinking well of the person. (One person didn't even have all their fingers.)
