I can't answer that for you personally. I just know that I am leery of antibiotics of what it did to my Free T3. I was hypER for several months, not a pleasant experience, that's for sure.

Keep an eye on your thyroid levels and see how it goes. I hope you feel better soon.

Well it was either cough myself to death and spit and sputter or take so I just may be screwed.

You might want to do a research on natural antibiotics such as garlic, Olive Leaf extract, Green Tea, Colloidal Silver, etc. and see if any would help.

I know how difficult it is to try to stay healthy.

Actually this is the first time in 4 or 5 years I have had anything like this. The clinic I went to was great I was embarrassed but she told me that they now saw alot of professional people cause they had lost their jobs. They were friendly did blood work for thyroid thy did tsh,freet4 and 3. Cbc,liver function,sugar,cholesterol HIV. They require an HIV on everybody they see. Thy told me a case worker was going to contact me about my endo doctor. Someone told me that contact them and try to get a lower rate or they find you a new doctor so we will see. This bothers me cause we have always had insurance and didn't have to worry.

I think with Snippy's last levels being low, I don't think she'll go hyper. A Z-pack you only take for about 5 days, right? You should be okay.I couldn't take Cipro but I didn't know caffeine with it made some people hyper (me) until I read the side effects. Always read the side effects first. Caffeine with certain meds make you at risk for going or feeling hyper.

I have just got over an infection and took penicillin, I was so ill with hyper symptoms but all my levels were still really low, a dr told me that when you have an infection your metabolism speeds up anyway which may make you feel like you are hyper, it took about ten days but soon went back to my hypo symptoms again as I think my levels are still too low.

Amazing how much an infection can knock you and yet I have not took antibiotics for years as Im never ill.
