I just got done eating a 1/8 of a slice of a Tiramisu cake which is a coffee cake with unsweetened cocoa powder and vanilla cake. Yum! I can't eat a lot of it for it will make me bouncy hypER!

I do it to myself too. I had tea today and it triggered my anxiety. I miss having tea & coffee!!!

I did hear that certain foods esp shellfish can make u feel those hyper symptoms. I know I love sushi and altho i dont eat it as much as i use to when i do eat it i will be hyper afterwards for hrs

Yes indeed this disease does trigger food intollerances for sure! I miss my tea! I splurge with a small cup once in a while and the caffeine just makes me climb the wall.
I used to consume soy products which now just make me feel bloated and itchy. I can't have any dairy either.
During the holidays in the past we'd have shrimp, crab, lobster and other seafood items but now it's a no no. Its going to be hard this year. Maybe I need to have my lips sewn shut?? heee heee....

I enjoy my tea also, but I can only drink decaf now or I feel really bad. Most herbal teas are naturally caffine free. I crave salt quite often even tho I know i shouldnt have it I do anyway. I doeant seem to bother me that bad. Shrimp bothers me badly I recently found out. Everyone reacts differently to different things.

hi sahmalaura, me too...I always end up ordering seafood as well each time theres seafood on the menu! Tea and Coffee- I just have to have it....To be honest, I have never tried to limit myself on tea -is it really that its not a good thing for your thyroid? I have hyperthyroid...

We are all mostly sensitive to iodine. Shellfish has a lot of it. Also artificial sweeteners and msg. It gives us symptoms of hyper. I have it when I eat food from a greek restaurant around my way,don't know why yet ,probably msg. If I'm low on the frees though, I don't really feel it.It's different for all of us. I think the red dye in food is bad too. If I take the generic advil I think that does it too, they're reddish in color.

I'm strangely fine having a soy milk latte, but if I have regular milke - I am ridiculously racey. It happened at work the other day and I scared myself with how frantic I became... :s

For the same reason I ate ALL of the 1/2 dozen choc/ciinnamon/frosted cookies my neighbor brought me for Christmas Laura. Temptation takes a back seat with me when it comes to something so forbidden and it keeps beckoning me from a few feet away. (No wonder I'm the Hypo Hippo for a few days lol). Living here on the beach is no help when it comes to longing for my King Crab Legs, so far I've been able to talk myself down from them, mostly due to the cost thank God.
