Graves-Basedow disease is a medical disorder that may manifest several different conditions including hyperthyroidism (over activity of thyroid hormone production), infiltrative exophthalmos (protruberance of one or both eyes and associated problems) and infiltrative dermopathy (a skin condition usually of the lower extremities). You have a couple of choices. You can lower down to 1.25 and then wait the 4 weeks to lab...or...you can stop for 3 days then restart at the 1.25...or...talk to your doc about block and replace.
Personally...I would drop down to 1.25 then wait the 4 weeks to lab...if my labs came back as still hypo...which I'm pretty sure they will...then I would go off meds all together...wait 4 weeks to lab...which chances are you will still be slightly hypo...then I would look for a doc that would allow me to take a T4 replacement even though my levels are within my ranges but to low for my bodies needs. My goal would be to take enough T4 to bring my FT4 up to around 1.65 or 1.7 and see how I feel. I would lab every 4 weeks until I stabilize...because I know that even though I am hypo...I will experience spikes that will last a short while.....This is what I would do if these were my labs and history...Big Hugs...Kathy
The problem we have is...most of us do not know what our levels were prior to Graves so we dont know what our normal is so we have to experiment a bit...also we have antibodies to take into consideration.
Getting your levels up to where they need to be will help your eyes significantly and help them to heal...it takes a bit of time but the healing can then begin.
Or might this remaining symptom be something else?

And I'll examine my diet again. I suppose it's good to do that anyway at this time of year to help stay on track with the approaching holidays.
