Ok so I just read the bottle last night and it says to consult a doctor if you have an autoimmune disorder or thyroid issues.
Great. This is the only stuff that puts me to sleep without any side effects, or so I thought.
I sent messages to my doctors, but I was wondering if anyone has ANY idea what the deal is with Melatonin.
I did read on Wikipedia that it can increase thyroid function, which would not be good.

I found that Melatonin didnt work unless I took 2 of them. I didnt feel comfortable with that. I have found that Sleepytime Extra herb tea just before bed worked wonderfully. You may want to give it a try

i used to take melatonin before i had graves and i loved it, now however it puts me to sleep put i stay in this inbetween stage in a panic attack all night and i wake up feeling terrible but i can still take valerian root and drink the sleepy time tea w/o side effects

There are different doses of melatonin also for those of you who thought it was too strong.
There are 1, 2 and 3 mg as well as time release.
Valerian root...I forgot about that one! I will try it!
And just fyi, my endo replied that it's not a problem, and it's really talking about disorders where you take an immunosuppresant. Thanks for the advice!
