What are your latest labs of the Free T3 and the Free T4 like now since starting the ATD?

I won't be taking another blood test for 5 weeks.

My tests 2 weeks ago were T4 29 TSH .03 and they didn't give me the T3 number. (I hope I didn't mix those two up)

Could you post the Free T4 range please? These are different because of the geographical area one is from, different lab companies, one's age, etc.

The range was (11 - 22)

So basically you're pulling hyper right? I have them too. Only recently though. And only recently have I gone more hyper. I expect to drop in the next few weeks though. Wish me luck!

How much ATD are you on and how often do you take it? It is suggested to take in divided doses of two or three times per day if one is on Tapazole or Methimazole. PTU must be taken in divided doses of three times per day.

Hi mmz. I take 5mg x 2 in the morning at the same time together of Methimazole I know it's not much and others take much bigger doses. I have to trust in my new Endo at this point.

I have chronic migraines whereby I am in a lot of pain 20 days out of the month (more these last few months). I'm seeing a Migraine specialist for the first time this November and I told my new Endo that if Radiation therapy made it worse I would likely kill myself as I was already on the edge some days.

She agreed we could wait as she had never treated a migraine patient. The Migraine doctor likely never treated a Graves patient, however, during these months, as the hyper settles down, its gives me a chance to see if the migraines calm down too and make some rational decisions.

With two diseases I'm not so sure which is causing what. I do know that I am so incredibly exhausted and look forward to feeling better like I have heard so many people attest to.

I believe this is why you are hurting a lot as you described it.

If I had listen to the first Endo who told me I was to take the MMI once per day and go for an RAI in six weeks, I'd be in trouble. Matter of fact, I did with only once per day dosing of the MMI and could not get my thyroid levels to come down. It wasn't until I divided up to three times per day at the suggestion of Paminremission, that I did better. I also ditched the first Endo and got another one.

I am on week 2 of methimazole (20mg in the AM) and 25 mg ot antenolol and feel great! The shakiness I had is almost gone, itchiness, heat intolerance almost gone as well. My MD did not say split the dose take 2 10mg at the same time in the morning. Maybe because I am "new" and have not even had my first bloods drawn.

I also had some extreme pain in my thigh muscles when very hyper. It was also present in my upper arm muscles as well, but not nearly as bad as the legs. I had also lost a large amount of muscle mass/weight in a very short time so I am not sure how much that played a role. The pain went away gradually as my graves disease went into remission. It took a Long, long time though to regain that muscle mass (almost 2 years)

Oh no don't say that......
I lifted for the first time in 3 weeks at the gym and you would think I never used a muscle in my life. I will hard at it! Hate the way I look with NO tone at all.

I have Rheumatoid Arthritis in addition to thyroid disease, I do not have hardly any strong muscles left.

I've also just started taking meds for Graves. My lower legs ache. especially when I wake up in the AM. It might not be on the lists, but I think it happens! I'm thinking my dose of Methimazole is too high. Seeing new doc next week, old one doenst listen.

A few years ago I could do 5 full push ups, I can't do a single one now. I have to go back to the gym. This is not fair. I couldn't open a stupid water bottle. It took me 10 minute of trying!
