Your symptoms sound like mine.
My shins would itch so bad.
Back and forth with my PCP - I’d tell him I’m tired all the time - he ‘s say - you’re getting older, it’s normal for you to feel that way. (Peri-menopausel)
I had the hot, hot, felt like hell flashes - thought it might be a heart attack hot flash.
I have had the red inflamed pinkie.
I had tremors on and off for years. I had a lovely spinal tap for that. Loved those doctors - NOT!
All my doctors had to do it give me a blood test that had the T.S.H., free T3 & T4 and they would have known. A small part of me HATES doctors.
It took a neurologist to give me 30 blood tests to find my thyroid issue. I thought it was all in my head. A lot of doctors make you feel like you going crazy - they just add to it - BECAUSE they are “F__in” lazy. (Sorry for my potty mouth)
Possibly, the sprained ankle connects with the muscle mass loss with GD. That’s all I can come up with.
I hope you are feeling better. Take Care.
When I went to my Internist in July, I asked her to run a blood test for diabetes. I thought that's what the fatigue and trembling were from. Luckily, she did a full panel and included TSH.
If I could yell at my PCP (a man) for the past 15+ years, I would. I saw how he took care of my husband and belittled my symptoms. He gave me a B12 shot because I was tired. I feel so stupid not questioning him more. I know I kept telling him my father had GD. For the past year and a half, I have no PCP. I go straight to the specialist if something is wrong. Anyway, I am looking for a woman doctor who is a DO. I hope I find one. And, I would like to find a nutritionist to keep me with food choices. What surprises me is that there should be nutritionists that specialize in thyroid or auto0immune disorders - Am I asking too much?
