Good to hear that the contrast did not upset your thyroid.
Whenever I had MRIs, the contrast injected in me was Gadolinium. I heard iodine based contrasts are safer.
My Endocrinologist said not to consume more than 20mcg of iodine per day. (It’s not a lot)
I wonder what the difference is between consuming iodine and having it injected into your veins to make an organ have more contrast during imaging.
Maybe it has something to do with “digesting” the iodine.

I think it would be impossible to consume no more than 20 mcg of Iodine per day. If one was to add up what was in the diet, especially since the veggies and fruits are hard to avoid Iodine as Iodine is in these naturally.
Elaine Moore talks about people with having GD to consume no more than 150 mcg of Iodine per day.

I think I made a mistake with the figure. I think she said 220mcg. She was concerned with how much iodine was in the Thyroid Lifter as it did not identify how much was in it.
I was told that too much consumption would bring on HYPER symptoms.
