I feel for you. At one point, that was happening to me.
I use Andalou Argan oil and shea shampoo and conditioner. No SLS (Sodium Laurel Sulfate) It helps me manage my gray hair. I only wash my hair once a week. I am not sure exactly when it started after the GD confirmation. Basically, it’s normal to lose some hair when washing it but when I saw that my hair was falling out in front of me when I wasn’t in the shower - I was freaking out a bit. It stopped when my thyroid hormones settled down. Not necessarily in the upper range but just settled down.
BTW, Argan oil is a great product that is good for the skin and hair. Gets absorbed in quickly (you don’t need much)
After freaking out about it, I thought that if this was a part of GD I was going to make the most of it. If I go bald, well so be it. I’ll buy a bunch of fun wigs to wear (flourescent pink with bangs) or a head wrap with pretty flowers.
I’ll keep the biotin in mind. My nails have ridges. I’ll see if they help it. How much do you take per day?
How did your blood tests go?
Hope you are feeling better.
