About your symptoms: I wish the only thing I did was forgetting my groceries when I was super hyPO a few years ago. I actually forgot to open my garage door one night and backed out ... well, it was open after that, alright. Another time I did not notice that the side door of the back seat was open, while backing out. That was a hole in the dry wall. I was a new mom at the time, breastfeeding and all and I so wished I could have gotten really drunk but I devoured a HUGE piece of chocolat lava cake at Cousin's, where I was meeting my friend. I forgot my credit card that night too.
So my profesional opinion (ahum): HyPO thyroid for you, lady.

Have you tried a NSAID dose at night? Non Steroid Anti Inflammatories are Ibuprofen or Naproxen. I can not remember when or where I read it, but I read it helped with night symptoms. I tried it a while back when I was very restless at night and it worked like a charm. The recommend OTC dose is 200mg every 6 hrs but you can take up to 800mg for a brief period of time, provided your kidney's are fine and you do not have anyother contra indications (bleeding disorder) It might be worth a try.
Have a good trip! Be safe!
