I would think it's normal. I too had those feelings when I switched to PTU. It fades after a while, especially when you become more accustomed to the meds. I take my dosage through out the day ( 4 x day) 400 mg's per day. When I was on higher dose I felt those symptoms much more.
If it becomes too unbearable, let your doctor know right away. Maybe what you are on right now might be too much or too much at once? Hard to tell without seeing labs.
In the mean time, hang in there. Don't stop taking your meds.

I felt like that before I was diagnosed with graves.I was only on atd's for a week, but my symptoms were so bad, I had RAI. Hard to tell, could be meds, could be the disease.

The symptoms you describe sound like 'brain fog' which is a classic common symptom with Graves Disease and Hyperthyroidism.
Usually when your levels start to fall into line , then the brain fog disappears.

Yes, I also did have those symptoms; I totally agree with Milko it is like 'brain fog' which is a classic common symptom with Graves Disease and Hyperthyroidism. It takes time for the medicine to kick in. Always let your doctor know about how you feel. I don't know why but anything that deals with graves and hyperthyroidism is a slow process specially when taking medicine or making appointments to see the Endo. Just remember that you are not alone; we all have gone and are going thru what you feel. I hope you feel better soon!!

Yeah for me too. I haven't felt with it for quite some time. It's hard to concentrate on anything. And I get super stressed at work. I am a property manager and I run every aspect of the company on my own. I can't rely on my memory anymore, sometimes I want to slap myself I forget important things everyday. And I doze off while awake, can't explain it, I guess the "brain fog" describes it well. My husband has def noticed a difference in my mental status and it's been dificult to get him to understand.
