Anybody else feel this way?

I've been getting a lot of headaches accompanied by this weird feeling of vertigo, almost like my brain is just floating around inside my head making me all off balance. My legs are suddenly all weak, too. Is this a thyroid thing? I'm trying not to think that it may be West Nile.

I am sorry you are having difficulties with having had the RAI twice. Could you post the last several labs along with how much of the ATD (antithyroid drug) and beta blocker you are on each time?

It will help us know whether or not you are on track with things. It doesn't sound like you are there yet...?

jjbrookes, I'm not sure how my doctor is dosing me. I had blood drawn last Friday and I called and talked to her and she said the levels were normal and to keep taking 2.5 mg of methimazole and 10mg of propranolol. I still feel awful though, like something isn't right. mmztcass: the most recent labs that I have a copy of state that my Free T4 is at 0.78 and my TSH is at 0.82. I can call tomorrow and see if I can get the most recent ones from July and September. Thank you everyone!! This is so helpful.

Make sure to post the lab reference ranges as these can be different from where one lives, age of the patient, etc.

If I went by using my FT4 reference range with your FT4 result, it would show that it is below the low end of the range.

If I were to guess, I'd wonder if your RAI is finally working and perhaps you no longer need the ATD/beta blocker? If that's the case, ask your doctor about this.

Do you take your pulse and/or blood pressure? At one time I was given a prescription for a beta blocker to use as needed if my pulse got above 80. I was 60 when diagnosed and am 64 now.
