I got my RAI done today.
I am nervous but excited.
Any thoughts?

Hope you start feeling better soon. My mother had RAI done over about 45 years ago at 30. She takes her thyroxin every day and doesn't seem to have had any issues with the meds that I can remember. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you follow that same path.

Best of luck to you moving forward!

It takes awhile for replacement meds doses to be optimized after RAI and sometimes doctors don't necessarily do things right by thyroid patients - especially for us Graves' patients.

Please consider joining us over on the hypothyroidism forum. After all, you will eventually be hypothyroid once the RAI does its job.

In the meantime, hope you'll keep us posted as you move along.

What is the dose of your iodine. I had RAI done on November 2013, 20 millicurie. 5 months have past, my TSH is still 0.02 and I still take 10 mg carbamizole to keep my FT4 in range. My eye bags started to swell, become red, dry and light sensitive. I was referred to see a eye specialist who prescribed artificial tears for day time and eye gel for night time.
