These days of waiting for the court system to decide my GC fate and future are pure torture and ful of pain. I look into my GC eyes and I see the damage that has been done and I can only imagne the pain and suffering she has endurred. Daily and I go through times of self blame, asking myself and anyone who will talk to me why did this have to happen. Why is my DD so self destructive and so selfish. When it comes to the child why does she seem to not care about or is in denial of the abuse she has suffered. So many questions I know that I will have to accept that will never be answered. Leaving it all in the courts hands a judges decision to place the child back in that situation is killing me. I spoke a school counsler where my GC gets therapy and they assure me that the system will do what is in the best interest of the child. "Best interest of the child" I can tell them what is in the best interest of the child but will they listen?
When I see my daughter at visits I look at her and and tell myself that she is my child, my child is in there somewhere. The little girl that I raised and loved and cared for is in that person but why is she so cruel, mean and destructive. Where has she gone is she lost forever. I not ready to greive for the loss of her, I have hope that things will turn around and she will be that daughter that I throught I raised. But it's one disappointment right after another.
But thank you for you post it has given me hope and inspiration to keep up the fight for my GC. I'll never give up the fight for her.
Love and prayers always
Nana
