Grandparents Raising Children Support Group
This community is dedicated to grandparents who are the primary caregivers of their grandchildren. In cases where the parents are not willing or able to provide adequate care for their children, grandparents may take on the role of primary caregivers. My grandson's principal told me this story recently because she said it shows that he has great leadership potential and he cares about doing the right thing even if he doesn't know someone is watching.
A teacher was out sick so the class had a substitute teacher and they were going wild and not listening. Tyler didn't know that the principal was in the back of the classroom when he stood up and told the class to be quiet and listen to the teacher, saying 'You wouldn't act this way if Mrs. Jones was here so you shouldn't act that way for Mrs. Smith either." The principal said she was very proud of him, and so are we. He is so mature and such a terrific person!

This is how we teach the kids morals and leadership. We are the top school in our district however, sometimes we get kids with family problems from another school where there is no room. We rally for the kids because we find a lot of the parents of these kids blame the kid!! We know better...Does this sound familar?? I know that my son the bio parent of my GS always blames others for his problems!!!
