We have to take the good with the bad. I had asked my gs's other set of gp's to take him 2 weekends in a row. Last week end I was trying to work on my car and have a nervous breakdown. This weekend was my oldest daughters bday, she turned 25, and I wanted to go out to dinner with her family and her two brothers. I also wanted to take my youngest son who helps with the gs to the movies and just do something with him b/c he never gets to go or do anything anymore that doesn't include a baby.
So I am grateful that they took him but feel guilty that I need time away. I can relate to the getting up before the house does to have the cup a joe b/4 the "noise" starts. So I completely understand your happy that she is there but......SHE'S DRIVING YA CRAZY!!!
Enjoy what time with your husband that you can and try to ignore all the rest.
"Sit daaaaln!"
"I need to take a shaaaawer!"
Will youse kids behave? Akay? Akay? Akay?
My other kids also comment on my pronunciation of
WATER ------ WADER
Dollar---- Dawler
I just keep saying it to them and they just shake their heads at me.
I also have to laugh everytime I read "Pinky" my daughter dyed her hair Magenta and then stated tell people that was her name. People would call out house and ask for Magenta....I was like you have the wrong number....But she also dress's in pink ALOT!!!!
Enjoy you "non responsibly time" while you have it.
As Pinky keeps telling her dad, "Im your dorter!"
I can't wait for 6:00 when she leaves.
Hmmmmmmm. So IMHO either she doesn't need the Suboxone, because she goes from Thursday to Sunday evening without it, or she IS taking something else to get through the visits.
My husband is SO much better at detecting it than I am. He continues to say she's high, and I keep saying I don't think so, but he has always been right in the past....and it is his "dorter," not mine...
Just something to consider.
She leaves me totally exhausted. Then the kids have started crying when she leaves, which really ticks me off because now I feel even more like the babysitter.
Your feelings do get so complicated, don't they?
She went to a rehab place and they gave her Suboxone. We looked up suboxone. This stuff is worse then pain meds the way I understand it. Unless you wean off the suboxone within 3 wks is what this one Rehab Dr online said.
But what I read was if you take suboxone it will trump all other drugs....so if Pinky would do drugs she would never feel it because this suboxone stops all other drugs from working. If fact, she said that they gave her a card to keep in her wallet that in case she is in an accident and needs surgery she has to tell the Dr's that she was on the Suboxone because the meds for surgery won't work!! Read up on this stuff....I read from this one Re-Hab Dr online that you have to wean off of this suboxone within 3wks because it is harder to stop using than Heroin or Medadone. This Dr said under the right care they can wean off this too and then have a better life.
I understand for some people it is better then stealing or what ever to pay for drugs this stuff can save them from that kind of life...they are only trading one thing for a far worse thing in my opinion.
My 2 cents....

She keeps telling them that she's going to get married and buy a house close to us, get a car, take them to live with her, etc. etc. And she does it where I don't hear it -- so now it's far too late for "damage control."
The kids all want to move in with her and the "balance of power" is changing. I'm nothing more than a babysitter now. I'm not even a grandmother, because I'm still raising them, but I'm no longer their mother, either. I admit it makes me jealous and resentful, but there's nothing I can do. I can't prohibit Pinky from coming down because she hasn't really done anything "wrong."
If she's using it won't be shooting up. It would definitely be some sort of pill, and they're so easy to hide or disguise. We haven't met the boyfriend yet. Mostly because this is about the 20th guy she's been "in love with" and planning to marry. If she's telling the truth, he sounds nice -- which makes us both wonder what he's doing with her.
I guess time will tell...
