She asked me many very intelligent questions, too -- questions that show she's thinking straight about the whole issue, and that made me feel so much better. I did apologize for the outburst in the car, and admitted I was wrong to let the argument get out of hand like that.
Apparently Pinky has called just about every family member to tell them that i'm evil. Most of them simply hung up on Pinky, because they, too, know how she tries to manipulate everyone. One or two think she must be using again. Time will tell...
I had to laugh at that one, since (a) I didn't call her anything at all and (b) Aside from the badmouthing, I actually don't think she's a bad mother - just a stupid human being. And I didn't even call her stupid! (I did call her Jodi Arias, however. And she's so stupid she thought I meant the murder part. LOL)
I think she was projecting when she used the term "bad mother." Where else could that have come from?
My husband told me to block her phone number, so we'll see what happens next.
She has been taking math classes to earn her GED, and it really seemed as if she was finally working toward her goal of getting the GED, a job and a place to live.
Out of the blue when she called Thursday night, she sounded high to me, but I couldn't be sure. Then, again out of the blue, she became SO angry when I told her it would be majorly inconvenient to pick her up at the bus on Sunday morning. She has never, ever, been disrespectful or nasty to me unless she was using -- so my husband, her brothers, her mother and I think she's back on the pills.
My husband just called to talk to me about it (it always takes him a couple of days to process negative events. LO) He wants her out of our lives at least until we see what's going on. He said he believes she's using again, too - change in appearance and behavior.
YIKES - this never ends, does it?
On Mothers day I found a mothers day wish that I re-posted on Fb. My GD hurt me because line 1 stated "To act like human beings." I wasn't thinking about my adult children I was thinking about the three I am raising. My GD replied and said, Gramma I had to laugh at line one...Have you met your kids? It's like I have this stigma of my bio kids and not the ones I'm raising. And of course to top it off my SIL liked my GD reply, she who has no kids and keeps marring men who have kids just to send them back to their mothers when times get tough instead of working things out with them.( another story)
You have a good head on you, I've always loved reading your responses and taken what you've posted and applied to my situations and they come out pretty darn good. Keep loving your grandchildren, husband and most of all yourself .
