We had gates between rooms and I put a large rag rug down, but that only made him trip. So I just hovered a lot. I never tried a helmet but it crossed my mind. He never really got hurt.
I'm busy baby proofing again awaiting the visit from CPS to inspect.
It's amazing what they can get into and how fast they can move.
Best of luck.
My GS is quite strong ( We call him Baby Godzilla.) and learned to push furniture and whatnot out of his way at an early age.
They move at lightning speed. I've had to replace a cellphone and a remote due to him tossing them in the dog's water bowl.
They have amazing upper body strength and love to climb.
You need to grow eyes on the back of your head, longer arms and hone your reflexes and train as if getting ready for a marathon.
I was told by his Dr that he is tall for his age and yes he is very stronge...your right they are very quick!
Thanks for the support...
I did have to resort to putting my gs into his playpen once in a while to contain him when i was too busy to hover. He didn't seem to mind it when he had toys and the chihuahua to play with.
He learned to walk in his wheeled walker and stayed in that until he kept lifting it to get around and then learned how to climb out of it. Once tried it's then mastered and on to the next challenge. They are so clever these little ones.
we found enough to carpet 2 rooms when we needed it.
