This community is dedicated to grandparents who are the primary caregivers of their grandchildren. In cases where the parents are not willing or able to provide adequate care for their children, grandparents may take on the role of primary caregivers. My oldest was visiting a friend and went over the handle bars. On handle hadcno cover and it stabbed her in the belly. Luckily she will be OK. One broken wrist some road rash and a huge belly hole. This kid panics over needles and blood so it has been a tough 24 hours. They finally allowed her to eat but have not released us. We have to see the surgeon and ortho Dr. On Monday. They are not sure she should go to school on Wed. She can not carry a book bag or do recess or gym.
Very lucky she will be OK.

Yesterday she was moaning and groaning and walking all hunched over......... Until her friend came to visit. The moaning stopped, the hunched over walking stopped and she got off the couch and walked around the house.
