Hi all - First off I want to say that you are an awesome group of people. I have been setting back reading and learning from your posts for awhile and today decided I should share. I have been relunctant to post thinking my ex daughterinlaw might read them. Fat chance! LOL My husband and I have temporary guardianship of our 2 grandchildren ages 7 and 17 months since last October when we were granted emergency temp guardianship. Sometimes I think we are totally out of our minds to do this but most of the time I wouldn't change it for the world. For the first time in my life - I CAN'T WAIT TO GET TO WORK - the kids go to daycare and we both work full time. Would someone give me the definitions of your abbreviations please? LOL I'm not sure what dud etc is. Thanks - My son and his ex are both drug addicts. I am out of room for now.

We have used journal entries. Most helpful to GAL. I still keep one tucked away and write down each and every phone call, visit. Keeping emotion out of it. Vital if your case is still active.

Welcome Bonkers. Love the name as it describes how I feel sometimes, like I'm going "bonkers". I'm from Knoxville, TN. I think one of your questions has not been answered. Just write as much as you want/need. The small box is deceiving. Don't think you only have that much room to write. This is a great site. I have calmed down so much since joining this group. It really does help to be able to vent or read what others are going thru and to know you are not alone.

Tired, you sum it all up. We are together in this and have all gotten support and advice through DS. I believe the more we communicate, the better we will be.
