Does anyone get a squeezing pain under left ribs or far to the right?

If you have a hiatal hernia as the cause of your heartburn and GERD I would say yes to that comment. I have a small one and it can feel weird on the left side around the diaphragm when I am in a heartburn flareup. I think an inflammed and spasming esophagus causes a tightness in everything in that area especially the diaphragm.

That's how my oesteopath explains it. He makes that feeling way better for me with the weird manipulation they do. Docotrs dont understand the deeper tissue issues with an esophagus problem or haital hernia.

Hi Everyone,

I've pain below the sternum. Does it mean I have GERD? My endoscopy result said that my esophagus is okay though.

It can mean you have GERD if you have it everyday.

Also, if you have it everyday, over time your esophagus will get damaged. Early on it doesn't have any damage
