Hi

My main symptoms now are back pain all over, pain in the left and right and wind (burping). Is this still acid reflux?

It could be acid reflux depending on what you ate. If not, I'm wondering if it could be your thyroid, appendix, gallbladder or liver. Sometimes these areas can cause pain when they are inflamed, having trouble absorbing or digesting materials or trying to pass materials such as gall or kidney stones which can be painful.

My mom who has GERD passed a very small gall stone and experienced the same pain you described in your post. But the pain was very sharp and shooting.

Don't know, but I'd sure mention it to doc. It could be serious. Sleep with head up and lie on L side.

Thanks for your advice. I do sleep like that all ready and avoid all the foods you are meant to. but last night I had chinese which is very greasy and fried and it didnt cause heartburn. Even when I eat a bland diet containing none of the danger foods I have constant burping!

The doc yesterday told me to wait until I see the specialist on Wednesday. I am going to ask him to re-check me for gallstones though. I had an ultrasound that was looking at everything and that didn't show anything but I think they should check again
