Lave they done a scope to check tor inflammation? Good lick
I recently started this and it has helped. So now I am taking one losec tablet morning and one night and mylanta in between if needed.
Also invest in a bed wedge if you don't have one. I get the choking feeling and I can hardly swallow when that happens. Now I only got the bed wedge recently and when I was getting choked decided to use it. Helped so much! All the acid went back down.
The acid also burns my throat and I get dry mouth too which doesn't help. My voice changes on me a lot these days as the acid seems to be affecting my throat area more lately.
You could also have a barium swallow so the doctors can see what's going on when your using it when eating and drinking.
I hope you find some relief soon!
I am keeping a food diary and am making note of the things that either burn my throat, give me instant reflux or stomach pain. I also note how severe and how long each effect lasts. Triggers for me may be different for you. If you are or do decide to keep a food diary it would be good to show it to your gi too.
