However, I did tell him the truth. I told him that I just didn't feel the same way about him as he did about me. I simply told him that I wasn't in love with him and its wasn't fair to either of us being in a relationship that was going nowhere.
As for it being easier to tell them if you don't have a boyfriend, well sorry but that's not the case. I still haven't told my family yet- although I am planning on telling them soon. Perhaps try telling some of your closest friends first. It's better to have people to support you through the coming out process. It's a long, hard and sometimes a scary time. Just know that you've got 100's of people on DS that are behind you and will support you 100%.
I hope I helped somewhat. If you ever need to talk to anyone about anything you know where to find me.
Good luck with everything!
I put more and more girls on my tumblr since he was a follower, to try and drop hints. I barely posted any guys. Then when he wanted to be intimate, I'd stop him and tell him that it didn't feel right. I'd try to do things to him that could only be done to girls and it made him uncomfortable, which was sad for the both of us.
I tried breaking it off about 3 times before he finally got it. Then one day at his house, when I didn't want to fool around, and when I said goodbye to his pets, he knew I was breaking up with him. I told him that I like girls and would never be able to love him the same way he loves me. That would not be fair to him. So instead of just stringing him on until a girl came along and I break up with him for her, I decided to let him go. He says he can't see us as just friends, which is a shame, but at least his heart is protected now.
If you make him see that you being a lesbian has nothing to do with him, I'm sure that will take some ease off of the break up. Also, just because you're breaking up doesn't mean contact between you two will be over. If you're both okay with it, try to still be there for each other afterward. I hope I helped. Good luck :)
