Gastroparesis (Lazy Stomach), also called delayed gastric emptying, is a disorder in which the stomach takes too long to empty its contents. Gastroparesis occurs when the vagus nerve is damaged and the muscles of the stomach and intestines do not work normally. Food then moves slowly or stops moving through the digestive tract.

Honestly, I think that at being of battling this disorder it may be hard to digest. Especially if you are not a diabetic. What I do know is that it took over 18 years from the moment I first began to battle with chronic nausea until I was finally diagnosed with Gastroparesis. The first doctor that told me that my stomach could take up to 17 hours to digest one simple meal, also told me that he did not know what was causing my stomach to take so long to deal with my food. It would be another five years before I found a doctor that could put a name to my stomach problems.
Another issue that your doctor may not have considered, some foods go through the digestive process faster than others. Stress will also effect how the stomach reacts to what we eat. There is also the fact that with people that do had GP it takes our stomachs more time to wake up after a night of slumber. So we tend to deal better with our food is the after noon than in the morning. So time of day , with result in different test results.
I hope this helpsâ¦
