Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
Considering that you don't have a diagnosis formally, I would recommend possibly speaking with a doctor if you can- as a professional is always the best person to advise you on matters such these.
However, if you feel that something is off, remember to listen to your body as well. Give it the time it requires to calm down, no matter what the cause.
Happy healing and best wishes.
I've had it for 2 1/2 years and believe I'm 80% healed. I can now eat tomatoes (raw and cooked) and last week onions made a welcome come back. Listen to your body it will be your best guide.
When you do try a new food prepare yourself mentally for the possibility of pain and discomfort if it doesn't work out. It will make the experience easier to cope with if it doesn't work as you hoped.
Take care
