Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
I'd ordered it from Our4corners for 3 years now. That yucky batch came from there but I returned it for a refund. I just ordered 7 mucilaginous herbs from MountainRoseHerbs. I'm trying their slippery elm, kelp powder, marshmallow root powder, marshmallow leaf powder, Licorice root powder, Psyllium husk powder and chia seeds.
I don't mix 1 tbs ina glass of water. I liek to add 1 Tbs to 1/4 cup of warm water and make a thick pudding. Then I keep it in the fridge and eat a teaspoon a couple times a day and before bed. That much lasts me 3-4 days.
I was desperate yesterday because I've been without my slippery elm now for 2 weeks. I bought some frozen okra at the store. That's also a mucilagenous herb/plant. My GOD does it taste disgusting! It wasn't horrendous warm but cold it is. It worked though. My bad pain from yesterday is much milder today.
I'll let you know if any of the new herbs work and taste okay.
