Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.

the gallstones are very common in women my age and doubtfully the cause of the pain. The GI suspects I have IBS which may have been triggered by a bug or infection I had earlier. I'm booked in for gastric emptying test Thursday next week and for lactose and fructose malabsorption the following week. The diet for those tests is awful and more restrictive than my G diet. Still if I have to eliminate them as a cause I have to have the tests and follow the diet.
I just hope I get some answers and help soon. I know it could take months and will limp along in the mean time.
